Honored for continued innovation in design and functionality

Philadelphia, PA – June 27, 2011.  The European business units of ��������è����Ƶvlog Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) (��������è����Ƶvlog) (www.crowncork.com) triumphed at the 2010 WorldStar Packaging  Award Ceremony, taking one of the event’s top prizes as well as two additional awards. CROWN Bevcan Europe and Middle East received a double honor for its innovative 360™ full aperture end, winning both a Bronze President’s WorldStar Award and a prize in the Beverage category. CROWN Speciality Packaging was recognized in the Food Category for the decorated metal tins developed for a Swiss spice brand.

A first-on-the-market for pressurized beverages, ��������è����Ƶvlog’s 360™ full aperture end was introduced on the Castle Lager brand from SABMiller plc’s subsidiary, the South African Breweries Limited (SAB Ltd), to kick off the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Using a combination of food and beverage technology, the end turns cans into drinking cups by allowing the entire can lid to be removed. Ideal for use at stadiums and arenas where traditional cans and glass bottles are prohibited, the innovation streamlines the serving process by eliminating the need for pouring beverages into plastic cups.  

��������è����Ƶvlog was also honored for a unique round tin developed to launch a new range of spices from Delica. Designed to combine aesthetic appeal and functionality, the tin’s lid features a plastic window that enables the consumer to see the rich color of the authentic spices inside. The lid also includes a small hole to facilitate easy dispensing in precise quantities. In addition to enhancing convenience, the feature helps reduce food waste often caused by spillage. High impact graphics representing the high-quality meals and unique flavors that can be achieved using the Delica spices finish off the package.
